For a long time, I moved through my education without asking many questions. Like many students, I focused on learning what was put in front of me. I memorized the formulas and passed the tests, but I never stopped to ask why these concepts existed or how they were discovered. At the time, equations were just tools—things I used because I was told to, not because I understood their deeper meaning.
When I started working in the industry, this practical mindset served me well. In a professional setting, the priority is often speed: knowing which tool to use and how to get a result.
However, after a few years, that approach started to feel shallow. I felt like I was only working on the surface of things. This realization pushed me to look deeper, specifically into quantum mechanics. For the first time, the “why” behind the theory started to click. The math wasn’t just a hurdle anymore; it became a language for understanding how things work at their core.
I’ve realized that true understanding requires a level of dedication that doesn’t always fit into a “fast-paced” world. Modern education is often designed for survival and keeping up, rather than mastery.
